4 Days Left!

Here it is Sunday and there are only 4 days left until Christmas, the kids are out of school until January 5th and I normally would be out of work until that time as well but since I moved here and got a new job I will be working during this Christmas break! I'm a little upset about this because for those of you that don't know I work for a school, and our students have been off since last Monday and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to do my job which is Financial Aid when there are no students to enroll or in the building that need help?!? The kids have been pretty excited about having the next couple of weeks off and I'm not sure I can say the same for my husband! He has been extremely bored since he hasn't found a job out here yet and I think the House Dad stuff is starting to make him want to scratch his eyes out.

In the past couple of days since I haven't been on here I've gone to a Christmas party for my job(it was at the Holiday Inn Select) it was o.k Michael seemed to have enjoyed himself he danced quite a bit and he even managed to pull the Director of the college out on the dance floor with him(how embarrassing for me to see him the next day!)I also went to a going away party with Tonya for Alyssa, who's moving back to California until August? (don't ask..it's a Navy thing)that was interesting we went to a place called The Ultra Lounge it was extremely expensive like going out in the city! we had to pay 5.00 dollars to bring in our cameras and 10.00 to get in and 14.00 dollars for a Malibu and Pineapple!! We had went to Chili's before and for the first time ever I was disappointed in my meal! Tonyas wasn't good either.. But her and Alyssa had great drinks called Jamaican Paradise, and they sucked them down like kool-aid, I didn't enjoy my drink (a strawberry frozen Margarita) due to the fact that I could still taste the tooth paste in my mouth from brushing my teeth! Tonya was a little buzzed because she actually stayed on the dance floor, Alyssa was being her natural self, she wasn't drunk so she didn't have that great of a time, and me I just chilled! At the end of the night we took Alyssa home and tonya crashed out on the couch with the kids!



Now it's Sunday morning and I have awakened to the smell of pancakes, bacon, eggs and sausage! Ohhh how I love my husband, he makes the weekends soo great! Antwane is home for the holidays so I know T is excited and so am I because every time the husbands are around it makes for a fun game filled time! I've done just about all of my shopping and it should be smooth sailing for the next couple of days with the exception I have to work!

Time for the tree!

Well as stated on my previous bog we put our Christmas Tree up and Decorated the outside of our house! Let me rephrase that I did it all myself, the kids helped a little and Now I've decided to post some pictures up for all of you to enjoy!

A Thanksgiving Slide

The Day After Thanksgiving!

Well, it's the day after Thanksgiving and we've had a busy week! Yesterday we went to Tonya's for Thanksgiving and I cooked The best turkey ever. I also made mac-n-cheese, stuffing, and Green bean casserole( it was my first time having it and it came out pretty good) Michael made fried dumplings and that was about all he contributed too! He laid around all morning until it was time to go over Tonya's, Tonya made a Ham, baked beans, rolls, mashed potatoes, and two dishes that I'm pretty sure may have given us diabetes.... yams and these chocolate chip cupcakes with strawberry frosting! Antwane was supposed to make the black eyed peas but i still don't know what happened to them! We had a great time the guys watched the football games that were on while the kids played and Tonya and I talked as usual, Then we all joined in for a very competitive game of Yahtzee! it was Me, Tonya, Antwane and the kids, All the kids got Yahtzee's and to watch Jalen play this game is the most hilarious thing ever, he rolls the dice all the way across the table and he goes for Yahtzee's when he still need to clear the top portion of the game, Antwane chimes in every now in then with a "well you're not going to win, or a well you wont be getting the extra 63 points on the top" Tonya had her occasional "waaaahoooo" yell and as for me I just let them all know who's the Yahtzee queen! After playing we realized it was 11:30pm, and we ended up leaving at about midnight! It was a very good time!


Today is the day after Thanksgiving, and I put up my tree, all by myself with no help from my husband, the kids had a great time and helped a little bit until the doorbell rang and their friends wanted them to come out and play, then the were off, After getting the tree out and inspecting it for spiders I realized that all except about 15 of my balls were missing! This kind of pissed me off because this means I now have to make a special trip to good ole' WalMart to get some more, So it is what it is and today went a lot smoother then I expected and hopefully I'll get a little time to enjoy the rest of my day!

Good Weekend!

Well another weekend down, This year seems like it is going by so fast! It's already the end of November, This weekend was great, On Friday we had our normal movie night with Tonya and the kids, the only difference was Michael was here and Tonya had the nerve to act as though she wasn't going to come!( You know I was mad, cause she better not let Michael mess up the routine) Another difference was we always stop at Blockbuster and get snacks for ourselves and this time when we were doing just that, something came over us and said "if we come back with just candy for ourselves and not the kids Michael is going to say something", and sure enough when I came back with Runts and Tonya had Subway, and Sprees, Michael chimed right on in with " You guys went and buy Yourself something and not the kids" Tonya and I could do nothing but look at each other! After the movie, Tonya and the kids packed up and went home.( this also is out of the ordinary, we would have usually popped in another movie, and feel asleep on the couches,)
On Saturday, I woke up to a ring of the telephone It was my mother, she never seems to understand that it's the weekend and some of us don't want wake up calls at 7:30, after getting off the phone with her Michael decides that we need to go on a family walk....uuuggghh for those of you that don't already know walking is not my strong suite! Needless to say I was PISSED when he then tried to encourage me by saying" You're the one that's always saying you're fat, so this is the time to do something about it!" I wanted to then convey to him the reasons I say I'm, fat is so that he can then say to me " Oh no you're not baby, I think you're just fine"but doing this would have only made matters worse so I went on the long walk I think it was like 3.0 miles... it seemed like it was never going to end! Later on when we got home Michael relaxed and cleaned the house and I just waited around with nothing really to do except rest after my grueling exercise.... Tonya and the kids came over for some Curry Chicken and Rice, It was great! everything my husband makes is great!
On Sunday I wake up to Breakfast... Bacon, Eggs, Waffles, and Sausage... It was great,, I went online Sunday morning and saw that our friend Alyssa was actually going to have her Singer Star Party! I have never been to a Sing Star Party So I can say it definitely peaked my interest so I called up my bestest and told her we should go! I got dressed and Went over there at about 3:00 and didn't get home until 10:00... It was soooo much FUN, I sang and I sang, My team started off winning and then we ended up loosing.. (We had a girl on our team that got a score of "TONE DEAF") lol that sucked!But needless to say I had a great weekend and I know this weekend is going to be just as great! Both the husbands will be here! (Mine and Tonya's) and it should be a great time!! I'll definitely update but probably day by day instead of after the long weekend..

Keeping up!

Well it's already been a while since I've been on here and so much has happened, For those of you who didn't know my husband has been living in Maine while I have been here in Virginia since February, and he just recently got home! It's been great having him here to help me with our kids and the daily activities that a single parent has to go through, but more importantly He actually is here, he has been saying he was coming for quite some time now and not only have my friends been vocally expressing he wasn't coming but he was also starting to make me worry, But for those who don't know me too well he would have been in Maine by himself if he hadn't came down! I can't believe my bf(I'm obviously not to old to have one!)has been doing a better job keeping up with this blog then me! So I am making it my duty to do this well!

It's Saturday and I'm Pissed!!

So sorry I haven't been on here since the beginning but, Today first thing this morning I decided to give you all just a little taste of my life!! I wake up this morning at 8:00 knowing I had to be at work this morning at 8:00 due to an orientation we are having for our students, I rush up, get dressed tell the kids I'm out the door to be sitting in traffic and finally get here at 8:14 and no one is here from my department!!! Here I was thinking I was going to have to apologize for being late and none of them are even here!! Including my BOSS!! So just to let everyone know It's Saturday and I'm pissed!!!

Hello Everyone, I decided that I would try out this family blog thing to let people know what's going on with our family as a whole, instead of me always writing and posting pictures on Myspace.. I believe this to be a great idea because a friend of a friend has been doing this for quite sometime and I find myself reading her blog religiously!
